Crossroads Bike Trails and Pumptrack
The North Fork Recreation District partnered with The Nature Connection to spend a portion of their 2018 GOCO funding on Rec District property. Together we built 3.5 miles of hiking and biking trails on the Crossroads property and replaced the aging playground with a climbing boulder, bicycle pumptrack, bike-skills challenge course and two additional picnic areas. Because of this partnership, in 2019 the District was awarded additional grant funds from the Colorado Health Foundation to finish this project.
The District received a prestigious “Collaboration Award” from the Colorado Special District Association at their annual conference in September of 2019, recognizing the collaboration between The Nature Connection and our Recreation District.

Climbing Boulder, Balance Logs and Picnic at Crossroads Park
Also funded by The Nature Connection's 2018 GOCO funding, these neat climbing sculptures by Integrated Design Solutions are fun for our young climbers. Pack a picnic and make the nearby WeatherPort picnic pavilion your home-base to play on these features and ride the bike trails and pumptrack.
