Join Our Team as District Administrator!
The North Fork Pool, Park, and Recreation District (NFPPRD) is seeking to fill the role of part-time District Administrator to guide the overall management and administration of our parks and recreation special district. This is a unique opportunity to lead meaningful initiatives, collaborate with local leaders, and make a lasting difference in our growing community.
As District Administrator, you’ll serve as the key connection between the NFPPRD Board of Directors, our staff, and the community. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, compliance with statutes and regulations, and the successful implementation of district policies.
What You’ll Do
Working primarily at the district office located in Hotchkiss, CO, this multifaceted, hands-on leadership role includes:
- Financial Administration: Oversee the district’s $400K budget, ensuring responsible stewardship of public funds. Manage budgeting, accounting, financial reporting, purchasing, contracts, and grant funding.
- Personnel & Payroll Management: Lead human resources operations, ensuring a positive and productive work environment for our three (3) year round employees and our seasonal staff at the pool.
- Regulatory Excellence: Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Policy Implementation: Bring NFPPRD’s vision to life through effective policy execution.
- Building Relationships: Cultivate partnerships with local agencies, affiliates, and the community.
- Community Outreach: Act as a champion for community engagement, ensuring NFPPRD’s programs and services meet the needs of our residents.

Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years general business experience, including project and contract management
- Previous financial administration experience
- Previous experience with maintaining branding, including website content and accessibility standards
- Teamwork and customer service experience
- Previous experience with recreation programs, swimming facilities and parks preferred
- Extensive experience with creating documents and spreadsheets
- Experience implementing and managing the use of a variety of software applications (Quickbooks experience is essential)
Compensation
- Done on experience with a range of $40-$42 per hour
- There are no benefits with this part-time position
